When It Comes to Transformation & Healing…
…we believe that “you can sooner listen someone into wholeness, than you can speak them into it” (Author & Spiritual Director, Bill Barry). At PAX, we don’t want to jump into solutions, advice, or problem solving; we want to listen deeply to, & with you, as to where God is in your life & how you are responding.

A Place for Individuals
Think of these offerings as your training institute for Christian spiritual formation. We have time-tested & one-of-a-kind training programs in transformational listening, spiritual direction, spiritual formation, & the Enneagram. All four of these programs are designed in cohort models to nourish & equip you on the journey within a supportive & authentic community.
A Place for Faith Communities
Our founder worked alongside her husband in church ministry for over 30 years. We are passionate about caring for churches & faith-based organizations. We have programs & retreats designed to care for your community, to meet them where they are, & to help you lean deeper into the transforming love of God together.
A Place for Forming Rhythms
Our goal is not to run you through our programs & then wave goodbye! We have workshops, retreats, individual spiritual direction, & continued support available to our graduates, as well as those finding us for the first time. Our life with God is an ever changing dynamic rhythm. We are here to walk with you for the long haul.
What Makes Us Unique?
Our desire is to inspire people & churches to experience the transforming love of God, becoming agents of healing & change in their communities & the world. We do so through nurturing & training individuals & worshipping communities in sacred listening & soul care, fostering vulnerability, curiosity, & belonging in their relationship with God & one another.

Our spiritual direction training program is a two-year course. However, we intentionally structured each year as a distinct program. The 1st year is called Transformational Listening 1: Soul Care Companions (TL1). All are welcome to TL1 as we seek to help one another listen & discern the voice of Jesus in our lives. It also offers an intentional opportunity to discern & explore a call as a spiritual director.

We seek to keep our programs affordable, especially as you begin in TL1. We also offer monthly payment plans & Soul Care Grants to those who are in need of extra financial care.

Our training programs meet once a month via zoom. This has made our programs accessible to people all over the world. It also provides flexibility to many in the midst of life’s commitments.

We value supporting you in your desire to care for others, & in coming alongside you in your journey as well! From the initial phone call when you register, to the intentional cohort size, to continued encouragement post-graduation, we are here for you!

We love when different generations get to learn from & with one another! Our cohorts include everyone from college students to the late wisdom years, creating a rich learning community.

Great question! If you are just starting out, then TL1: Soul Care Companions is the place to go. If you are already a trained spiritual director, then consider what you want to add to your ministry. We have designed both our certificate in spiritual formation & certificate in the enneagram to offer further training & resources for you.

No problem! Our TL1: Soul Care Companionscourse is designed for anyone looking to grow in spiritual formation & contemplative listening. If you want more afterwards, then our certificate in spiritual formation may be for you! We also have workshops & retreats that are open to all in our PAX Rhythm offerings.

This can be hard to do, but we have no doubt that God will meet you wherever you choose! We often encourage folks to ask themselves: “What is important to me in someone who is going to be listening to my story & holding vulnerable space for me? What kind of culture or ethos will help me open up, ask questions, & feel safe?” Once you get a feel for this in each place you are considering, it might make the decision a little easier.
