PAX Alumni Christmas Borrel

December 8th

BORREL

A Dutch term referring to the end of the day where you gather together to share food & fellowship.

Join Us Where it All Began!

Soon after getting married, Rama's parents immigrated to the United States from Holland. One of the many traditions they brought with them, is borrel.

If you speak more than one language, you may know the difficulty of fully translating the concept of a word to the other language, but we'll give it a go! Borrel is a way of saying, you and I are worth pausing for at the end of each day to make time for connection. It is a mini breath of Sabbath in the busyness of the day that allows space for laughter and celebration.

This Christmas, we want to take a breath to laugh and celebrate with you in the place where it all began for PAX 14 years ago, The First Congregational Church of Essex (FCCOE).

Rama's husband, Tim, retires at the end of this year bringing the end to an era of over 30 years of serving as the Pastor of FCCOE. PAX will continue on and so will the beautiful ministry of this church, but Rama and Tim will be moving to NH.

So whether you participated in one retreat with us many years ago or have gone through many of our programs, we want to celebrate this Christmas with you.

We hope to see you there!
