Praying Through the Election

FROM THE PAX TEAM

Dear Friend,

Voting day is getting closer & tensions are rising. Wherever you stand on the political spectrum, perhaps, like us, you are experiencing difficulty in finding the words to pray in this challenging season.

You may be asking God…

How do I voice what I feel is right while still listening to my neighbor?

How do I continue attending my church if not all of my fellow parishioners share my same views?

With who is it safe to express my views?

What will I do if who I'm voting for doesn't win?

…and the list could go on.

In moments like these, it is enough to sit in silence with God knowing He hears our groaning & understands. Yet, we can also look to the words of those who have come before us & in the scriptures.

With the help of our board member, Pastor Tim, we've pulled together some options for prayer over the next month & beyond. Take what you need & leave what you don't.

Thinking of you,

Iela & the PAX Team
